Do job seekers pay to use FindKnoxvilleJobs.com?
No.  All of our services are free to job seekers. This includes listing views, search for job categories, resume and cover letter help and storage and our Job Flyer email service that alerts job seekers when a new job is posted on our site that matches their search profile.

Who sees my email address?
Employers see your email address.  To create the best first impression its wise to have a ‘Business Appropriate’ email address like: susan.smith@hotmail.com.  An email address like drunkanddisorderly7@yahoo.com are not recommended.

I’ve registered as a job seeker but I want to change my email address…now what?
You can log in using your original e-mail address then click on this link on the front page "Click here to Edit your account information.". You can change your e-mail address from there.

I found a great job can I unsubscribe?
Yes. Log in and click this link on the front page "Click here to Edit your account information.". Then Un-Check the box next to "RECEIVE JOB FLYER E-MAILS:". This will prevent all future e-mails to you from this website.

Some jobs on your site have ‘Confidential’ in place of a company name…why?
Employers may wish to remain anonymous during their recruitment process and we grant them opportunity.  We offer confidentiality to job seekers as well.

Forgot my password…what do I do now?
Go to the Job Seeker log in window on our home page and click on the ‘Forgot your Password?’ link.  Enter your email address that you used when registering in the data field provided and we will email your password directly to you.

What happens when I’m viewing a job ad and click on the ‘Apply’ button?
It will open a page where you can enter your resume and cover letter information or edit one you have previously used on this website. When you click the "Apply" button, your resume and cover letter will be e-mailed to the employer and your resume and cover letter will be updated in our database.

How come some ads don’t have an ‘Apply’ button?
Employers have the option of having you apply directly through our site or they may want to use another method.  This may include a request that you apply online at the ‘Careers’ page of their website or they may ask you to fax your cover letter/resume to them.  They may want you to call to arrange an interview appointment or to email your resume directly to them.  Our best advice:  READ THE WHOLE AD AND FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS.

How do I store my resume on your site?
On the home page, click on the button that reads "Add Resume". It will open a page where you can enter your resume and cover letter information or edit one you have previously used on this website. When you click the "Submit" button, your resume and cover letter will be added to our database.

Do I have to have a cover letter to go with my resume?
We recommend that you include a cover letter when applying for a job through our site.  It’s your best opportunity to express your interest in the job that is being advertised.  Its also your best opportunity to make a good first impression by explaining why you think you would be a good fit for a particular position.

Who will see my resume?
Employers that you submit your cover letter and resume through our site and Employers that use our ‘Resume Database’ to search for people with your kind of experience, skills and talents.

How do I know an Employer has received my resume?
When you apply for a job on our site and submit your cover letter and resume though us we will forward it directly to the employer contact.  In most cases employers don’t have the time to respond with a ‘Thank you’ note.  You should know that if you really are a great candidate for a position chances are you will hear from that employer.
